Yes it stands double noise but it's not deep (just a few inches) and most of what you mount is the 2 brackets that come with the kit. To show you how easy it is. I drilled through the hard plastic in the cavity area and bent the brackets to fit, leaving the side of the radio completely untouched. Perfect attachment. All I need is a rear camera, so I'll update it when I get around to it . This radio is basic in many ways, but it has taken my truck into the future and improved it. GPS works, phone works, no problems yet. It's worth it. Money + or - a few dollars.
