This is fine if you need an EZ-Lock, a rock and the like, but the shield is almost useless after mediocre work with it. I cut off some nails and you have to back the cutter really far to get the flying objects in the shield. This in turn gives you almost no tool access to get good access to the cutting discs. Second, I felt it was too dirty and now prickly. I too often change up what I'm doing with the Dremel to unscrew an assembly or chuck and then a plastic ring to turn that on and off. If it was a fast adapter, meaning quick on and off, then I would be more inclined to use it. Since it lasts a while, not too much, I usually just pass out.
