I bought two base stations (each with a motion sensor). I also bought two extra extra motion sensors. I programmed each base station with (4) motion sensors. So if sensors 1-4 are detected, the base station should beep 1, 2, 3, and 4 times as each sensor is triggered. I have a sensor at 400ft, 200ft, 100ft and then on my back deck at 30ft. These devices work fine as long as you are within 10 feet of the sensor. After that comes the shitty shooting. The sensor on my deck is line of sight from the deck, 30 feet from my dining room. At this distance they won't see it. The sensors send when I see a green flash from the devices while I'm driving or driving by. Receivers simply do not receive a signal. I've moved them to every room in my house and even installed them in the window closest to the driveway with a clear line of sight. Again I took them to my shop to make sure they were programmed correctly and worked well in close proximity. I'd say it's a "get what you pay for" scenario since the units are pretty cheap.
