Review on 🦍 Gorilla 108084: Strong and Reliable 1.88" x 50yd Utility Tape - Black by Gent Dobson

This gorilla tape is way better than some other brands I've tried. I recently purchased black and white 3M/Scotch tape. Can't go wrong with 3M? Well, I was wrong! 3M colored tape is now made in China and their tape was thinner and less sticky unless I bought their original US made gray material. So I decided to try this Gorilla Duct Tape. I have one white reel and two black reels. The material is the same between the colors. Oddly enough, however, the white rolls have 30 meters of tape while the black rolls have 35 meters of tape. It's way better than 3M colored tape! First, it's even thicker than the original 3M gray font. As such, it's great for laying flat on the surface without clumping. It's great for holding cables at floor transitions. It tears just like the original tape, either widthwise or lengthwise. And I found fantastic adhesion! It seems to stick to almost any clean surface. It works as packing tape, repair tape, and even duct tape that's somewhat moisture resistant (although I wouldn't soak it or submerge it in water for any length of time). It can mend holes, glue cables or parts together, or conceal surface defects. In a sense, its excellent adhesion can be detrimental. Do not stick to areas with decaying parts, newly painted or lightly painted items, or parts from which the adhesive will not peel. This tape will leave adhesive behind or peel off a dry wall or similar porous surface. If it sticks well to the surface and you try to peel it off, it could damage what it's stuck on. It cannot be used as masking tape. And don't place it near a drain system as it can cause a terrible clog if it gets into the pipe. 3D printer. I use it as strong packing tape. I use it to hold cables as they cross doors. I used it between surfaces to reduce vibration noise. I've used it to temporarily tie cables together so it can be easily ripped apart while keeping them together for storage. I've even used this material to temporarily hold ripped or ill-fitting fabric in place until I can sew it back together. This inner weave of the fabric type makes it something that can be molded around some unusual shapes. this thing! Please do not compromise on this excellent quality product like other manufacturers do. This gorilla tape is the best tape I've tried.
