Review on Torin TR4053 Hydraulic Transmission Floor Jack: 1/2 Ton Capacity, Red by Jamel Ochoa

Cheap and poor quality but it works.

If you're looking for a cheap transmission jack, it works. What can I say, the quality is bad. After assembly, one of the wheel legs was about an inch taller than the other three, causing it to wobble a lot. One of the screw holes just didn't match the legs so I only installed two of the three screws on one side (there is also a guide so this isn't the cause of misalignment). The estimate of £1,000 is ridiculous; after dropping the manual gearbox out of the BMW 335i, he actually bent his legs so much that they're all touching the ground now! In addition, the jack is too slow and the handle is too long. Instead, I use my 3/8" ratchet as a handle. Just to clarify how redundant the included crank is, the ratchet offered no resistance with gears on the stand! Another useful note: the jack isn't high enough under that Transmission to fit when the car is raised to the highest position on my two post BendPak lift but it was fine after we dropped the car on a lock or two otherwise the jack did its job and makes a difficult job easier, I just want the quality to be better.
