I stream a lot of high definition files from my dap to the receiver, but sometimes I just want to chill and listen to a whole old school CD. I was looking for the best value for money and decided on a Denon, Yamaha CD-S300 or Marantz CD5005. The Denon and Yamaha were $299, while the Marantz was $399. I checked the specs and reviews and settled on the Denon. The playback is a bit better, but I have a separate equalizer for that. Generally a good device for what I use a few hours a week. Because of this, I couldn't imagine paying an extra $100 for a Marantz.
