Review on πŸ”Œ Optimized Power Solution: Pump Sentry 1622PS for Submersible Sump Pumps by Brad Mastermind

Great Peace of Mind

Our home has a partial subfloor with a French drain and drain pump that I don't know the exact design of. We lost power in heavy rain and realized the limitations of this system when water seeped into the finished basement. Looking for a fix most systems seemed like a new sump pump with a built in backup battery which seemed unnecessary. We also had a company that offered space encapsulation options but they never responded to us, probably $$$$. Be sure to log in to Pump Sentry. It easily connects to your existing system and provides battery power to the sump pump, which is vital in the event of a power outage in heavy rain. We purchased this before Hurricane Florence approached the east coast in 2018. Thankfully we didn't need it at the time but upon receipt it was plugged in 15 minutes later and appeared to be working when I turned on the pump and poured several jugs of water down the hole. Hurricane Michael surprised our area with heavy rains and weakening winds. The hourly pump worked great and was still charging 20 hours after the power went out, keeping our basement dry. Great purchase for peace of mind. The main downside: There were no wing nuts in the kit to securely attach the clock to the battery, so bear that in mind when purchasing. Without her, he made adequate contact, but not perfect. It is possible to buy a battery and battery case from your local supermarket for a good price compared to what we saw on Amazon. Now that the power is back on it says the battery is charging so everything seems fine. Will update if problems arise in the future, but hopefully never tested again!
