Smoothie Straws to the Rescue
To expand the engineering designs for these blocks beyond the kit itself and the Duplo blocks, I found some 12mm OD straws that we could use to connect the large ends of the tubular components . The straws gave us a piece with two small ends that are not in the set. By making multiple cuts on these straws, we obtained multiple sizes and greatly expanded our building possibilities. This can be clearly seen in the photo.
