Use a knife or utility knife.
All sealant removal tools are scams. The plastic ones work well for 30 seconds, then the blades snap. Metal will scratch drywall better than caulk removal. This one is absolutely useless. My $5 Walmart Coleman camping knife works better and I can sharpen it like a box opener blade. An old credit card or a 25-cent guitar pick works just as well for smoothing out caulk as $2 rubber foam.
