. I agree with some other reviewers that the reception leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame because this device was easy to set up. WPS worked on one of my two routers, and on the other, using the installation CD, all I had to do was enter my password (passphrase) to connect. (Of course I don't use both routers, they serve different purposes). The conditions I'm talking about is 70 feet walking when the signal goes through 4 living walls. Hardly extreme. I had a USB Wi-Fi antenna, so I screwed their antennas onto this EnGenius ERB300H. Reception has greatly improved, but why didn't the factory do something similar? To make matters worse, the USB Wi-Fi antenna cost twenty dollars, so the EnGenius price is now up to sixty-four dollars, which I think is unreasonable. There is a switch on the side of the device on the back. The up and down positions of the switch are marked "On". All this makes EnGenius suspicious of inattentiveness to details. (below is actually off) I kept the thing because it works - after the mod I paid for. But I can't really recommend it.
