I bought this to use with an Arduino Nano to make a thermostat , which I can control remotely via cellular as I don't want to pay $50 a month for internet in my cabin. Unfortunately, this SIM7080G chip doesn't seem to have much support in the IoT community yet. I couldn't find an Arduino library that controls it properly. I'm sure everything will be fine if you write code that directly sends the correct AT commands, but I was hoping for a simpler solution. So I bought another board with a SIM7000 chip supported by the TinyGSM library.
