Well thanks to other reviews it was very very easy to put in hot water and then install. My 10+ dishwasher now looks brand new. I had rust, I cleaned them with hydrogen peroxide, used a dishwasher repair kit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I9SK73K/) and then put these caps on top and I can keep using my original stand. . I really think I should have put them on when I brought in the dishwasher and most likely avoided rusting on the tips. All in all a very good investment as my wife is happy.
