I needed to hook up an electronic component behind our console and it needed to be plugged in directly rather than using an extension cord or bracket. The other connector also had a fairly large connector and there was no room for both. This solves this problem. Little did I know that I needed a plastic frame to install it. It is sold separately so plan on buying it.
