I ordered this duvet because I'm always looking for something to make the bed cooler than it is. I always use this type of duvet as a layer over the bed sheet and under the duvet, even in the summer. I was very happy with this blanket. When unpacking I got very annoyed and annoyed. The duvet insert comes with some very bizarre bedding requirements, such as: Wash warm at 20C Hand wash Cold separately Professional dry cleaning Do not bleach Do not tumble dry Try low temperature dry cleaning Tumble dry medium Do not wring Light dry Hang dry Drain Do not iron at low temperature 120 etc. Soak at 20°C for 10-20 minutes before washing. Do not bleach, do not iron, do not tumble dry, it will affect cooling performance. When cleaning, use a neutral detergent (label any brand of detergent) (what does that mean!?). After washing, do not expose to sunlight, dry naturally in a ventilated place. "When drying, spread the rug out with your hands so that the dried bamboo fiber blanket lies flat with no creases. Avoid squeezing heavy objects. To be honest, I was spoiled by this hodgepodge of care instructions. I wash my bed once a week - from sheets to one blanket - and these varied care instructions are enough to make a change in my weekly schedule Phew So a funny thing happened during this review - I gave it 4 stars to begin with Have finished writing to this point I was feeling really miserable so I lowered it to a 3. This is one of those products that I LOVE but the care instructions ruin it.The blanket does NOT contribute to overheating like a typical 100% cotton blanket of a similar style would do for me. Secondly, the blanket is VERY VERY soft. The baby blanket is soft. I love the feeling. Now I will ye say I broke the rules and put them in the dryer. -OR-- before I started using it l less than a typical uterus - I washed it before first use - and after seeing how much water it holds and realizing that drying naturally is very unrealistic - I have it dried. So I'll never know if she shrunk or reached that size. Anyway, I still love the comforter but hate the care instructions/requirements.
