So here's the first review. See my photos to explain some of the reviews. Not a single part was damaged during packaging and transport. Installation was quite easy and not complicated. The only snag was that the two leg sections didn't align at the same height, causing the base of the seat to pivot over the leg assembly (although it would probably be a good idea to bolt on the base the same way). I fixed this with a piece of perforated steel tape to fill the gap. In hindsight, I probably should have done a test setup of both pairs of legs before the actual setup to see if there was a compromise in terms of height difference. The chairs feel solid, quite heavy, lay flat to the ground and are comfortable. I didn't like the faded brown faux leather but the leather conditioner brightened it up. See the difference in the picture, left and right. Almost the same color as the leather part behind. Nearly. As for the height, it suits me. The bottom of the rack is 34 1/2 inches. Seat height 25 inches. Of course, the pillow will settle when a person sits down. So far I am happy with these chairs. Maybe an update?
