Review on πŸŽ₯ FLYCAM Galaxy GLXY-AV: Dual Arm and Vest Steadycam for Stable Handheld Video Capture up to 10kg/22lbs by Jason Bailey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Definitely the best bangs for a vest, just be prepared to touch it up.

Big complaint. The yellow springs (the lightest) were processed incorrectly. When I installed them, the first spring fitted well. The 2nd spring when I installed the barrel seal that goes in the spring can tap a little to remove and install it uh. There was a cone in the hole on the 2nd spring that wasn't noticed until I put the bushing in and pinned it. I had to cut open the sleeve to get it out and put it back together with the pieces I had at home. I didn't need the yellow springs so I threw them away, not a big loss but I did have to order the right parts to put it back together. It's not on the way. I recommend checking each screw and adding a blue or red bracket if possible. After solving the problems, my Ronin M started flying the Flycam5000 with some extra weight on the sled. The red feathers are maxed out by my gear: Ronin M, Canon 5D MK IV, 10-20mm, Neucleus M monitor with 7" motor on skids and some extra weight from a cheap glide camera. It's insanely smoother than just Ronin. I've tried mounting the Ronin directly without a slide and it is doable, but the spring was so stiff it required two passes of warp stabilization for each shot, so the slide lives on! The test video was shot at 60mm with no warp stabilization. tight on this setup but I wanted to test the worst case PS it won't be in focus all the time because I left it in manual mode like my focus motor normally but it was unplugged.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
