Installed these when setting up my 2002 Grand Marquis. I had misfires on two cylinders so I decided to try these. Ignition coils replaced and a new set of spark plugs. Before installing, I took each tip and used qtip to apply dielectric grease to each tip, being careful to apply a small amount to the inner spring that would bond to the top of the spark plug. I also applied a small amount to the top of the park plug before inserting it into the head. Installation took about 30 minutes and the car ran great. It's been 4 months now and I still have no problems. I really can't tell if it helped performance or fuel economy at all, but it didn't affect it negatively.
