Review on Velleman K8055 Experiment Interface Board by Brandon Castano

good sentence. Very difficult.

Well built set. Everything was well organized. However, if I had to do it all over again, I would pay a few extra dollars for the block collected. Yes, this would save you hours of tedious assembly, but it would also ensure you get a working device. The board is pretty solid. I was so excited as I neared completion that I installed all the ICs upside down in their slots. Shortly after plugging it into the USB port, I noticed a burning smell. I unplugged it right away, flipped the ICs right and everything still worked great! As if that wasn't enough, I tried to connect the PWM outputs to the test circuit in such a way that too much current is induced through the output transistors and again burns the smell after the audible "pop". But the board works great! The bottom line is, if you're as stupid as me, or at least half as stupid, this board will work with it.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Factor Set
