Review on πŸ“€ Sony BDPS3500 Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model): Entertainment at Your Fingertips by Ray Cole

If you don't feel like reading my entire review, it's short and sweet.

If you don't want to read my entire review, here's a short and sweet one: Don't buy a two-in-one (at least not this one, or any sont, btw). another model in our basement and I'm having trouble with that too) If you're getting it for the added streaming capabilities and smart DVD, look elsewhere. The price ends at the basic DVD player features. For those who want to read a more detailed review: For Blu-ray/DVD use and nothing else, that's fine. The DVD plays as it should. As for using his intellectual abilities, I found it more tedious than it was worth. When you turn on the device, you need to let it run for a few minutes. I'm not sure what it does when it needs to connect to the internet the first time you turn it on, but when you open Netflix it gives an error when you turn it on saying it can't connect to the server. After waiting 5-10 minutes another message will appear saying it is trying to connect to the network (which usually means it is working) but you have to wait about a minute while it downloads 3 stages ; then you can finally enjoy Netflix. My device needed a software update for a month and every time I try to update it it says the update failed. I didn't have time to sit down and spend more time than a simple "start update/update failed" step. I unplugged it this morning, plugged it back into my wifi (although it said it was already connected) and started the process again. It told me the software update failed the first time, so I tried again and magically it decided to work! I hate writing long reviews because personally I know I want to be short and sweet and I COULD talk about other erroneous things that have happened but for fear of losing my captive audience I will leave it at that, when i look back I'd rather buy a basic Blu-ray player and spend another $10-$30 on a separate Roku, Fire Stick, etc. for my streaming purposes.

Pros
