Don't hesitate to buy this volcano: it rocks. I bought this volcano to put in an aquarium, a gift for my son for his eighth birthday. I wanted something cool and I got it. I was a bit hesitant at first because of the price, but it's worth it: water feature/light/aerator/decoration in one product. I would weigh the pros and cons. but I can't find anything I don't like about this volcano. Inside the volcano is a red LED that has small transparent slits that are waterproof. The slits allow the red LED light to glow, giving the effect that the volcano is full of lava but preventing bubbles from escaping the cracks. Bubbles only come out of the top when the volcano erupts in thousands of powerful, even bubbles. In fact, the aerator works inside the tank, which I found very different. The small pump is actually inside the volcano along with an LED headlight. Both fit with no problems. It comes with a black hose and a set of small black suction cups that you can use to place lines anywhere in the tank. The LED lamp is of high quality and one lamp costs almost as much as the whole volcano to buy, so this volcano is worth the money. The aerator creates tons of bubbles, so strong and light. All these bubbles perfectly oxygenate the aquarium and give energy to the fish, which is another additional advantage of this product. My son's new aquarium hood may have only white or only blue LEDs. When we turn on the blue LEDs, the tank becomes dark with a deep midnight blue hue. The volcano's red LEDs look very hot and molten. The bubbles are illuminated by a red LED and then fade to blue. It seems that a volcano is erupting in icy water. Fire and Ice is a super cool combo for my little man.
