Durable, soft washcloth
I have used this microfiber washcloth to wash my SUV several times and it did an excellent job of removing dirt and bugs compared to a sponge. Washing with a sponge is almost effortless, I don't have to worry about scratching the car, and it holds up just as much soapy water. When I'm done washing the car, I just toss it in the washing machine with other rags and forget about it. I would recommend washing it before first use to remove any lint so it doesn't get all over the car.
