Review on 🌊 Tailonz Water Trap Compressor with Pneumatic Regulator by Eric Temple

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good as an extra safety measure

I bought this to add to my little pancake compressor. The compressor already has its own outlet pressure regulator so it acts as a backup if something goes wrong with it. I connected it between the pressure outlet port and the air hose to trap moisture and contaminants that would otherwise get into my air tools. The manual that comes with the controller is usually poorly translated from Chinese. They don't say how to assemble it, but it was easy to figure out that the air knife goes in the middle and the adapters are male threaded on the ends with the included pipe cutting tape. From there you need to determine (and purchase separately) which fittings to use. I used a quick connector on one end to connect it to the compressor port and a quick connector on the other end to connect the air hose. I turned on the compressor and set its gauge to 90 pounds so I could use a roofing nailer. I then slowly increased the pressure on the regulator until I reached the same pressure. Everything seemed to work fine, there were no leaks. Since I used the nailer intermittently, there was no water in the moisture trap. However, I suspect that it traps more moisture while also releasing more air, leading to more condensation. Please note that this regulator is not intended for rigorous or professional use but is a good choice for the average user.
