For a brief introduction to me. I do a lot of diving in the Great Lakes, finding and documenting historic shipwrecks. (Check out Blueyes on Facebook below!) I received this light for free in exchange for an unbiased review. That being said, I'm surprised at how powerful the light is! Everything comes in a proper hard plastic carry case with cut outs for everything so the packaging is A+! The dual charger is "ok", but you have to make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly and are not bumped during charging. This is because it shows a green light as if they are fully charged when they are not. This is due to a small side gap in the battery compartment and poor contact on the positive end. Nothing special, just a note. The lantern easily fit in my dry suit pocket and was great for illuminating parts of the wreck for my partner to photograph, as well as examining dark areas of the wreck to see what treasure might be hidden. !I really like the turn-to-turn function better than the button on the back of the 1000 lumen flashlight from the same company. The swivel function will not turn on accidentally during a dive when the light is not needed. The beam is narrow and very strong! (Think an underwater lightsaber!) The body of the lamp itself looks very well made and sturdy. Replacement O-rings are included if needed. I will definitely be taking this light with me on my deeper, darker dives as my primary light source when I'm not using my two video lights, especially when penetrating shipwrecks. For the price quoted, it's definitely worth having in your kit!
