Excellent focus and brightness

This is a bulletproof flashlight with incredible brightness and stable runtime. I did a fire test with the batteries that came with it and got a runtime of 90 minutes. hand is not too big. A great backup light for serious diving or a great main light for those just getting into the sport. The burn time can be longer to provide more safety on long dives as this is mainly needed for a backup light.

  • Consistent test results
Cons

Unreliable and short lived

I buy 3 of these lights: 2 for my son and one to replace the one I dropped while diving. These lights worked great for about 10 dives and then stopped working intermittently during the dive and came back on before finally going out completely within 2 weeks. There was no flooding and the batteries were accurately charged before each dive. We dive in PNW in harsh conditions with poor visibility. So if you're looking for reliability and durability, this isn't the point.

Great Twist On Tech taillight

I've had a couple of dives with this light as a backup light. It's easy to turn on with a quick turn of your head. This is a nice bright white light that has a fairly narrow beam for bouncing back into crevices or signaling your mate. I did a lux lighting test with it and got 24,000 lux. Very good for a flashlight of this size. The tail has a convenient spot for attaching a stainless steel latch. The metal body of this flashlight has a very nice finish and looks very solid. technical diving or…

No longer works. $70 worth of scrap

Purchased 27th March 2020, now 29th August 2020 . stopped working after 5 months. Cannot turn back on. Hopefully I'll be offered a new light and will update this post when that is the case. Otherwise RUN from this light. I wish I had never lost my Volador while diving, it was rated at 1000 lumens and was much brighter than the advertised 2000 lumens for this flashlight, required a battery (which was better than a battery), smaller and had a button. Oh, did I mention it was $30 less too. No…

Great Value Diving Flashlight

I have not had the opportunity to dive with this flashlight due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but I can definitely speak of its suitability and workmanship. Initially I was a bit skeptical about the overall quality due to the comparable prices of lights in this segment, but when I received my order I was amazed. The D2000P comes very well packaged, including strap, batteries and charger, and is very spacious. It's also very bright and I have no doubt it will look good on my next dive. If I could…

D2000P for testing underwater mines

I'm an abandoned mine explorer (not a diver), but many mines have deep water and flooded tunnels within them. I bought the D2000P to use as a powerful searchlight for artifacts in the pools and to see if there is an underwater passage large enough to bring the ROV into the mine for further exploration. This weekend I used the light in a 300 year old lead mine and by placing the light below the surface of the water I could see that the mine is submerged under the back wall for long stretches. It

Great light! Wide beam, super bright!

We dive almost every weekend. Most of our dives take place in brown water in quarries and lakes. It is very important to have a long lasting bright dive light as it is usually required at depths less than 20ft on most of our dive sites. We own and use a variety of 1000 lumen flashlights. This 2000 lumen Odepro D2000P is great, especially for under $100. Pros: Super bright even in brown water. Color provides good visualization. - Simple, one level of light when you turn your head - Long-lasting…

Bright white light with rugged construction

I've used this light for two dives to 100ft and two snorkel sessions and this is my new go-to night dive light. It worked without dimming during my 60 minute dip and I am very happy with it. The kit included 2 batteries, charger, wrist strap and extra O-rings. Everything worked as expected. I liked the white color of the light. It had a bright narrow beam to illuminate distant objects and a wide beam to illuminate a large area. In the video I'm posting, the center beam looks a bit too bright…

Very happy with the strong light!

For a brief introduction to me. I do a lot of diving in the Great Lakes, finding and documenting historic shipwrecks. (Check out Blueyes on Facebook below!) I received this light for free in exchange for an unbiased review. That being said, I'm surprised at how powerful the light is! Everything comes in a proper hard plastic carry case with cut outs for everything so the packaging is A+! The dual charger is "ok", but you have to make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly and are not…
