I have air conditioning through the window. Last year I had many problems with slime build up in the air conditioner pan, to the point where it would dangle out of the drain hole and even get so thick it clogged the funnel I was collecting underneath. water to get it where I wanted it. I've bought a few of these pills and found that it takes a while, but whatever bacteria or whatever makes up this mucus, these pills will slowly kill it over time. It took them about a month to remove most of the sludge in my A/C, but now that sludge is no longer hanging out of the A/C drain hole. It should be noted that my first install was standard 7000 and 9000 BTU air conditioners. They say you only need one tablet for up to 12,000 BTUs, but I doubled it for the first dose just to be on the safe side. One thing I was worried about was how to put it in the AC drain pan. It turns out these tablets are the perfect size to fit right through the vents on the side of the air conditioner. I have 2 different brands and they fit through the vents of both brands. I have a somewhat similar problem with this mucus collecting in the drain at the bottom of my fridge so I put a pill in there as well. So far it has worked great and prevented the drain from getting clogged with mucus again. I also didn't notice any smell from using it. Good product.
