I would say it's better than what was already there as the circuits in this one are covered by the case whereas the one I took out had them open. '05 Beetle - There are some good videos on replacing the fan motor, but you don't need to remove the underside of the radio console to access the leftmost screw/bolt in the glove box. You will also need to remove the metal/aluminum bracket covering the plastic base of the glove box frame to push out the old fan and slide in the new one. The plastic frame that the metal bracket covers flexes just enough to make room for the fan housing, which sticks out and gets in the way.
