that solved my problem! My air conditioner slowed down to the point where it just stopped working. I put this in and it blows air like new! My car is a 2005 GTI 1.8t golf car. Also, I've put about 20,000 miles on this part and it works just like it did when it was originally installed.

Perfect fit, works immediately after turning the key. Half the price of the competition and easy enough to do yourself. They took a resistor and cabin filter, and it's still cheaper than the competitor's fan/motor unit alone. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

This was a simple direct replacement for the original fan in my 2004 Jetta. I just unscrewed the old one and screwed in the new one. The power plug connected with no problems. I've only had this installed for about 2 months and it works great.

Product quality is on par (or appears to be on par) with OEM VW. The noise level is the same. The quality of the plastic is the same. Consider replacing the resistor while you do this. They're only around $10 on Revain for as long as you have it, and they're also problematic - even more so. If your fan only runs at certain speeds, replace the resistor first. My engine was definitely worn out.

Purchased to replace a faulty fan motor in a 2002 VW Jetta. The replacement is very simple, contrary to the instructions you do not need to remove the glove compartment. Removing the torx screws on the top and bottom of the glove box allows it to be slid forward leaving enough room to replace it from below. (after removing the plastic cover and fan motor resistor under the glove box) The fan seems to have gotten a little louder than the native one, but there are no complaints about the price…

I would say it's better than what was already there as the circuits in this one are covered by the case whereas the one I took out had them open. '05 Beetle - There are some good videos on replacing the fan motor, but you don't need to remove the underside of the radio console to access the leftmost screw/bolt in the glove box. I bought this for my 04 Golf. The first one I received was DOA - a white plastic fan was broken into three pieces in a box. I filled out the Revain new item form and two days later a new fan (much better packaged) was at my doorstep. I didn't even send the broken one back! The fan has now been in my car and works great. It blows a little harder than the factory fan to be honest and the new car smell of fresh fan plastic was great for the few hours it lasted :) Can't comment on durability yet…
