I was happy to find a battery operated flashlight for my 2.5 gallon tank. It was amazing that the lamp could be clipped onto a stand, tripod or placed directly on the aquarium. The three light settings were great too. The timer on mine is maybe 30 minutes, which is sometimes not enough time to keep a good eye on my kids. The light isn't bright enough to be of any use at all. Regardless of which setting is enabled, the light only dimly illuminates the corner of the tank. I was worried it would be too bright, but I was definitely wrong. This light is made from cheap materials and costs under $12. Maybe 5 dollars. All in all very disappointed with this product.
