Review on Highly Effective General Finishes Flat Out Flat Topcoat - Quart Size by Anthoni Hayes

I seriously LOVE this cover! We made this table for our country style kitchen and all the wood in our house is either aged or matte so I knew I didn't want the occasional shiny table but also didn't want raw/exposed wood. For our dining table, I didn't even know I could get a matte top coat! So, I saw this, saw the great reviews and I'm really glad I got it! Adds the PERFECT top coat. I applied 3 coats, it dries fairly quickly and it's important not to "overcomb" like it says on the tin so just made sure the fur wasn't so thick that I could see how the fur turns white. So when it was good, I just moved down and made sure the strokes connected. I applied all 3 layers in less than an hour. It gets thicker and thicker, so be careful with the third layer so that you don't get a lightening effect in too thick places. I used a 2" Wooster synthetic brush because I've found this brush to be the best choice for fine surfaces (e.g., dining tables, baseboards, and cabinets) in general. Buy this top coat and never look back!
