Item arrived as shown. Inside, as expected, are 12 color-coded cartridges. I like the variety of colors. However, this ink seemed too wet to me, almost like watercolour. When used with the parallel pilot pen, the ink bleeds and bleeds profusely on plain carbon or lined paper. Using specialty paper (for calligraphy or watercolor) will probably give better results, but I haven't tried it. Some colors are not as accurate as stated on the packaging. For example, bright yellow looks dull and slightly orange on paper. However, blue or red is much more accurate and acceptable. However, it's fun to mix different colors together to create unique (though not necessarily repetitive) gradients.
