These are designed to only work with Pilot knobs which, while annoying, are easily repaired by opening the wrong end with a small screwdriver. It fits easily into a standard pen. I experience significant ink bleed when used with my Pilot Parallel, but when used with my Jinhao pens the ink writes well and has minimal bleed. A little uncomfortable but good for the price.

When used with the parallel pilot pen, the ink bleeds and bleeds profusely on plain carbon or lined paper.
