Review on πŸ”’ Pyle PLMRCB3 Black Marine Stereo Cover: Durable Water Resistant Protector with Flip-Up Door & Neoprene Gasket for Dual Shaft & DIN Style Stereos by Esera Warren

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, outdated schematic

Non-existent instructions, random wire colors that don't conform to any known wiring standard: green or black is not grounded, red is not powered, and none of the speaker codes match the colors on the my- Match radio wiring. Two black wires, you need to look at the position to tell them apart. Worse, there is only one positive wire. So unless your radio is so old that it doesn't have a digital display, you'll have to choose between turning the car on and off each time, or losing settings when you turn the car off. (I cut off the end of one of the preamp cables for one of the power connectors). The holes in the bracket are smaller than the screws, and if you press down hard on the nuts in the case (as if the holes were a little small), the nuts will separate from the adhesive. They didn't fall out but twisted when tightened, before final assembly I smeared them with epoxy putty.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some bugs
