So far so good. It's a monster of a setup, but after googling help articles on how to switch my wifi to my 2.4ghz ISP account, I was able to set it up and get it working. Really had trouble with the whole flashing light situation. The paper in the box said I need a fast blinking light, but the app said it should blink slowly. Eventually I realized that if I had read the instructions to the end before starting, I would have learned how to toggle between fast and slow flashing lights. At the end, use the paper guide for the physical functions of the socket and the application for the operation of the Internet connection. You need an awkward marriage of two to make it work. Even if you don't have 2.4Ghz internet or don't know how to access it, if you have it and don't have tech knowledge in your body, save yourself the headache and get a more expensive open wifi. A plug that accepts any Wi-Fi band or speed or whatever it's called. You can verify if option 2.4 is appropriate by looking at your router. I rent a router from my ISP so after reading the information on the outside of the router I figured out everything I needed to know. Having said that I would like to say that I am concerned about rain water getting into the open plugs as there are no plug caps. Keep your fingers crossed! Oh, and one more thing, the paper instructions advise you to download the Smart Life app. There are two apps in my phone's app store called Smart Life. One has almost exclusively negative reviews, the other almost exclusively positive. They need a trendy one with positive reviews and an even more attractive interface.
