FIX: Doesn't work anymore. One minute everything was great, and the next it just stopped working. I used the remote to turn my instruments off briefly and when I turned them back on it didn't work. The red light is still on, which means it's on and the remote is still working. But I no longer hear the "click" that comes along with the light. I haven't had it in a year. It was fantastic while it lasted. However, it seems that it should last for more than 8 months. I use it to turn on and off the dust collector that connects to my woodworking tools. To be most effective, the dust collector should be several feet apart to keep the hose straight. After getting tired of going back and forth in my garage to turn it on and off, I decided to give this a try. This works very well. I've never been further than 25 feet from the outlet, but the remote never stopped activating or deactivating it. It would have been nice if the remote had a keychain or something so I could clip it to a belt loop instead of rummaging in my pocket, but I'd still buy it without it.
