Disappointed best in Cradles

Item arrived quickly. It was pretty easy to install. I have a Chevy Equinox and am left handed. Mounts the holder from the windshield on the left side. The charger seems to work. I'm not sure if I'm getting full power because after over an hour of riding the battery didn't seem to charge. Then the ball head stopped working and I can't keep it upright and the phone tilts down. I have it as strong as possible and I don't want to break it. Maybe there are better designed devices as phones can be heavy.
