Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Iveta Urbancova ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn³'t expect the quality to be this good.

255/40/19, 3 liters, 240 horsepower, and rear-wheel drive. There is not much to compare them to because the prior car was front-wheel drive before purchasing the Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 (non-studded, 225/55/17) and Dunlop SP Sport 01 (summer, 245/40/19). As a result, it is not really possible to compare them with each other in a way that is accurate. Tire mileage after purchase: between 400 and 500 kilometers (conditionally, between 30 and 70 percent of that in the vicinity of the castle). The driving style can be described as being fairly aggressive, with the first 100–200 kilometers consisting of a steady run in at speeds of no more than 80–100 kilometers per hour. The temperature ranges from -12 to +7 degrees Celsius, and there is snow and ice on the street. Summary: 1) The ability to confidently change lanes despite the surface conditions (dry or wet asphalt, snow). In situations where it was necessary to pay attention when changing lanes when using the Dunlop 245/40, the Toyo 255/40 makes the track virtually invisible. 2) Low noise. After switching out my shoes from Dunlop, I did not notice any increase in the amount of noise. Even though the window was open while I was on the run-in, I was still unable to hear the "take-off and aircraft" roar. Perhaps the point is that the room has good sound insulation. Unquestionably more forgiving than the identical Dunlop in terms of bumps, rails, and pits. 3) Attempting to improve one's appearance by studding it is, of course, not ideal. However, after 500 kilometers, all of the spikes are in their proper positions. 4) Conduct in snow and ice conditions. Braking in a straight line is extremely good, everything happens as it should, and the acceleration from a complete stop is (subjectively) a 4+. The behavior is totally predictable in a turn, unless, of course, you intentionally pull the wheels into a skid, in which case the behavior is unpredictable. It seems like these tires provide plenty of comfort for confident winter driving.
