When the broken roll of film arrived I immediately felt like I wasted my money. I ran to the reviews to see what other people thought of the film. I read all the one star reviews and tried to agree with what we got. I've seen rookie reviews and pro reviews but they all sounded like the first to tint taillights for me. This was also supposed to be my first time so I thought why don't you try it! I explored YouTube for 30 minutes and then tried my first part. There isn't much tint film so I decided to stick the film on the car and then circle the light with a marker. The foil comes with a clear protective film on the front and back so what I marked and didn't cut off came off with the plastic. Aside from being a first timer, I played around with the blow dryer a bit and learned to work with vinyl FAST. He doesn't need too much heat. Don't melt your vinyl. After tinting two headlights on the trunk I didn't have much tint left to work with. I wanted to take off what I had on and order the tint on the roll. Then I watched some videos of people applying pre-cut tint made specifically for their taillights. Then I took what I had left over into the car and drew around my tail light with the top corners of the lights facing forward. I toasted the shadow a few times to dry out the water bubbles so it's definitely not perfect, but I'm proud. At night, the shade looks very smooth; Now I have an aggressive look. I wrote this review out of fear that I might not be able to use this product and then used it completely. It's rolled up like a gun with folds. However, when you unfold the paint, the protection is mostly crumpled, and the film is fine. I suggest you tape, trace and pre-cut the shade before applying. Don't slam the whole window tint on your flashlight. It worked great in parts, not when trying to tint all of the light. If you heat the shade you can stretch and shape the vinyl around the light source, but too much heat will start to melt it. And don't use a credit card, the blade must be rubber. Look on YouTube. I am very happy with the $6 tint. Once you've made your first light, you'll keep getting better and better until you fail.
