For very short hair, military haircuts etc this item is probably great but for some thin shoulder length hair and beyond this item stinks the silicone/rubber just grips and snags your hair no matter how you use it. And as for exfoliating your scalp, it's difficult when she just wants to grab and collect your hair once you start moving her across your scalp. Now, while this doesn't work for me, this isn't a cheap scalp brush. Looks well made, felt good in my smaller hands and worked/slid well on my husband's scalp when I tried it on him so I still give it 4 stars for that but personally I will be using Oceanpure skin massagers again which can does this doesn't look as pretty but is the best choice for my hair and dry scalp with psoriasis and works great but I bought this zillion anyway because I figured wider, softer bristles would be better. I was wrong.
