I bought these to replace the collet nut on my Dremel 8200. After repeated use, it is more like the original. I suspect this is because the nut threads are not cleaned before shipping. It puts good pressure on the collet, but the nut didn't let the collet protrude slightly like the original. I suspect people who aren't getting enough pressure are using a worn header or shaft on their accessory. You can file the edges of the connector in the collet to extend its life. This nut seems to be a bit longer than the original but I'm not sure as I lost mine and can't compare directly. It seems that the nut can reach the bottom of the dremel. If I did that there would be a nice little ring on the underside of the collet nut that would serve as a great guide for trimming down with a hacksaw or sanding guide. I haven't checked whether the factory key fits, but I'm sure. It wasn't tight enough and I felt like I had to use it.
