1/16 inch collets not quite compatible with Dremel

as some others have said. Don't get them to line up a little boron right without hesitation. They feel like tweezers/burrs, only at the very end where the shank comes out of the collet. If you compare this design to the Dremel and Foredom collets, you can see the difference in the slots that run down the sides. These slots give the collet its spring force. Dremel and Fordome have long slots, about 3/4 the length of the collet. This gives the collet a large contact surface for the drill/mill…

Pros
  • Also compatible with Dremel 212, 225 and 575 Accessories
Cons
  • Only available in white

Keyless chucks in power and hand tools

Not even close. The photos pretty much speak for themselves. I use wire sized drill bits that are so small that the old (and real Dremel) chuck won't hold. I don't know if they're wrongly made or wrongly assembled, but I can't use them if they close as much as possible. Too bad I'm trying to save a dollar. But if you've been using them for as long as I have, you'll end up with an imperfect Dremel part. And a note to those rating these 5 stars: drive yourself crazy. Dremel ammo is bad enough…

Great replacement at a great price

I bought these to replace the collet nut on my Dremel 8200. After repeated use, it is more like the original. I suspect this is because the nut threads are not cleaned before shipping. It puts good pressure on the collet, but the nut didn't let the collet protrude slightly like the original. I suspect people who aren't getting enough pressure are using a worn header or shaft on their accessory. You can file the edges of the connector in the collet to extend its life. This nut seems to be a bit…

Pros
  • Now you can change accessories without tools; Eliminate the need for a collet and wrench when changing bits
Cons
  • No Instructions
