If you need 3-1/2" stainless steel screws to attach two components or thicker materials, these are very good stainless steel versions. They really do come with a hefty price tag along with that extra inch. I found them to be of excellent quality. Just a longer version of the same 2-1/2" stainless steel screws I usually buy. It's important to note that with longer screws it becomes even more important to pre-drill pilot holes for them, especially in dense hardwoods like ipe and teak. Otherwise there is a risk of breaking the screw. The only thing I don't like about them is the packaging. The box is too big. Looks like a bag of chips. Too much air. It seems wasteful to me, and I think that the consumer and the earth are paying for this waste otherwise the screws themselves are of excellent quality 4 stars.
