They will most likely work for all your purposes unless you plan on attaching magnets to them. They are not just "steel". Maybe stainless steel? I was going to attach them to a wooden table to attach magnetic hooks, but these panels are not magnetic. Would give 5 stars if they mentioned it's not pure steel (like stainless steel, nickel alloy steel etc.).
