It took some effort to get the camera to work. While the instructions were reasonably clear, iterating through the different options was unclear. The only way to ensure proper functioning is to test the card and then start over. A little bit frustrating. After finally getting the functions right, I left the camera alone until it got dark. I went into the room to test the function and saw the function indicator light up, sometimes blue, sometimes red depending on activity. Apparently, the location of the camera was easy to determine no matter what function was being performed. This seemed to render the camera useless when the goal was to "catch" someone in the room after dark. there is no way to turn off the light. The included USB cable is only 19 inches long. The included USB extension cable is only 21 inches long. Only 40 inches, severely limiting location or requiring purchase of a long USB cable or extension cord. No charger is provided but I was able to plug it into the wall with one of my phone chargers, good if you have one. I could only play the video using Windows Media Player. It was possible to watch videos on other players. The video quality was ok. Turns off after a maximum of 5 minutes and only restarts when more movement is detected. I never found out how long the backlog was. Haven't gotten the night vision mode working yet, there will be an update at some point.
