It may help remove skin, I don't know because I didn't buy it for that. My kids have stained the kitchen sink and dishes with melted wax. I bought this because it was supposed to help remove the wax from the heating pad so it should have gotten the job done. It didn't remove anything from my sink and I even left a thick layer all over the dishes to see if it would break down the wax after a while. It was of no use. With the same success, you can use baby oil.
