Works perfectly! on external sound cards
I bought this device because the onboard sound died in my 10 year old mainboard. I just plugged it into an unused USB port. I'm using Windows 8.1 and the drivers load immediately. I connected the sound system to the device and it is working again. Great sound, great price. I'm happy
