Review on Sony RM-AV2 📷 Remote Controller for Sony Camcorders by Lizeth Tucker

This product really fills the need. I don't understand why the wireless remote control has been left out of a feature on virtually all new camcorders when such features were readily available on camcorders over a decade ago. I had an old Sony Hi-8 camcorder from 1998 that needed replacing. This camcorder was purchased in 1998 and had a wireless remote control. Good luck finding that feature today. So you need to get a "wired remote" to connect. I found "wireless remote control" to be a feature not found on all new camcorders, but looking at Sony I saw that it was at least an option for "wired" control. .The device works great and is well assembled. The cable is long enough when working directly on a tripod. However, if you use a video camera for reading etc, it would be nice if the cord was extendable. Currently, the operator needs to be close to the camcorder to use this wired remote control.
