They simply snap in place of the old trailer haul mark trailers. We had 12 markers that were 10 years old. It's very easy to replace the old ones (use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry them out of the tabs) and put in the new ones. They're a bit brighter, but the biggest benefit is the reduction in stress they put on your wired circuitry! I tested each before installing and all worked. Still works after a few months of use. This is not a boat trailer so I'm not sure if it can submerge underwater. A bit more expensive than I think they should be. Get a little bonus for the latest technology. However, due to the huge volume, LEDs have become much cheaper. The price may drop one day!
