As other reviewers have said it doesn't fit flush with the gasket as it's too tight to fit over the edge of the crankcase. I left it as I didn't want to try and widen the crimp. The shaft seal will not fit in the pump bore even when tapped, which is difficult when pulling on a car as the gap from the end of the shaft to the frame is only 2 inches. Impossible to plug the bushing. I agree with others that an OEM seal is the way to go. Also, contrary to some claims that there are springs in the seal, there is no spring in the Honda seal.
