I received my new Black Widow Monarch colored pencils on Sunday and started coloring right away. As an avid adult colorist, I use the "3 color blending" technique to enhance my images. This means using a combination of dark, medium and light pens from the same color group to make the shadows and highlights look more realistic. These Monarch pens include some of the missing pens we needed for this technique! I am very happy with my pens! Black Widow crayons are known for their unusual color names. This new set has passive names like dish names, which are fine, but I prefer dramatic names. Definitely recommended!
