Honestly given the price I thought it wasn't very useful but it actually works great. The only real issue I had was that it takes forever to reorder filters (they are expected to arrive a month after ordering replacement filters, while the entire unit arrived in a week) but I found a replacement that works in it does my local petsmart work. I use it for a 6 gallon Betta aquarium and it works flawlessly! The current is strong enough to filter a lot of water but not strong enough to stress my betta. Due to the construction, it also does not suck on its fins. It's great for small tanks, but I wouldn't use it for anything over 10 gallons, and even at 10 gallons I'd suggest something stronger.
